The origins of Halloween derive from a pagan festival called Samhain, celebrated by the ancient Celts on October 31. On this day, they believed that the barrier between the worlds of the living and the dead was thinnest. They wore masks and costumes to ward off or fit in with the spirits of the deceased that might visit them. Through the centuries, the tradition has been modernized and commercialized (some might even say bastardized). Still, much is the same for us today as it was for the ancient Celts. Countless accounts of those visited by ghosts and demons continue to haunt our imaginations, causing us to continuosly wonder what lurks in the shadows of the night, the foggy limbo between two worlds... the Dark Domain. It is the grey area between fantasy and reality, the things that may or may not be, the darkness that artists of all forms often tap into.

Dark Offerings Entertainment and Sykophunk Productions present a multi-genre collection of music embracing the dark side of entertainment, Tales from the Dark Domain. You'll also find other dark delicasies here: videos, poetry and more, covering everything from gothic beauty to shocking horror. So explore the site; bookmark us and check back for updates all throughout October.
